Mr. Vittardi has been a Parma resident for over 43 years and has more than 21 years experience in the City’s Parks and Recreation Department.

As a supervisor in the department, he initiated and developed the Michael A. Ries Youth Baseball/Softball Complex, which is the first of its kind in northeast Ohio. He has been honored as a member of the Parma Sports Hall of Fame for softball (Class of 2000) and was a member of the 1992 Men’s Class A National Championship softball team.

A founding member and present commissioner of the Tri-City Youth Football League, Mr. Vittardi was appointed director of Parks and Recreation in 2004.
