Grass/Leaf Pick Up
CITY OF PARMA - 2013 LEAF COLLECTION SCHEDULE
NOTICE TO RESIDENTS:
The leaf collection program is a preventative maintenance measure to prevent the blockage of the street catch basins, prevent sewer backup into your home and to also prevent from standing water in the roadways which then can cause ice conditions. The City leaf program is not intended to be a landscaping service for its residents, and residents should limit their leaf collections from their front yards. We ask that you follow some basic instructions:
1. Do not rake leaves into the street, and please avoid blocking catch basins. Do not put sticks, rocks or other debris into the leaf piles that may cause damage to the leaf equipment or cause injury to our City workers.
2. Do not park your vehicles on the street in front of the leaf piles during your scheduled week; this may cause a hindrance in the collection process.
3. We ask that residents during the scheduled times have their leaves ready for pickup on the tree lawn. If that is not possible, it is the responsibility of the resident to bag their leaves in the proper manner as designated by Republic Waste Management and place them out for their scheduled trash pickup day.
4. The exact date or times that your street will be serviced is difficult to predict, but weather permitting, the below schedule will indicate the dates we will be in your area. For further assistance, please call our Service Department at (440) 885-8191 or (440) 885-8980.
