The City of Parma Andrew Boyko Memorial Scholarship Foundation

The Board of Trustees of the City of Parma Andrew Boyko Scholarship Foundation is honored to offer this scholarship application. The Foundation was established in 2006 in honor of Andrew Boyko, who served the City of Parma for over 30 years as judge, law director and in many other capacities. The Scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to high school seniors from the city of Parma wishing to pursue post-secondary education. Many city officials, residents and businesses have given generously to make this scholarship available. We commend you for planning to further your education and encourage you to apply for other financial assistance, as well, particularly federal and state aid by completing and submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form is available at fafsa.ed.gov. The selection committee will take into consideration each applicant’s financial need, special circumstances, character, scholastic record, involvement in community service and commitment to the city of Parma (Members of the Board of Trustees are not involved in the selection process.). The award amount and number of scholarships will depend on available funds from annual contribution. This year the selection committee will award three to five scholarships, with a minimum award of $1,500.

Eligibility Requirements

Must be a resident of the City of Parma and a United States Citizen
Must currently be a high school senior or equivalent
Scholarship is paid directly to the accredited college or university, and must be used during the 2008 - 2009 academic yea
Prior recipients may reapply annually
