Since 2011, Tom Mastroianni has been serving as city treasurer. Prior to his current role, he served as Ward 7 councilman from 2004 to 2005 and clerk of council from 2006 to 2011.
His office includes both the Treasurer’s Office and Income Tax Department. The Treasurer’s Office collects all monies that come into the city and is entrusted with the safekeeping of city funds. The treasurer also works closely with the city auditor on city bonds to fund projects such as street paving, facilities maintenance and park improvements.
Mastroianni graduated from Lincoln West High School and attended Cuyahoga Community College. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. He is married to Kelly Schurdell Mastroianni.
