Safety Department

The Safety Department consists of the Police Department, Fire Department, Parma Regional Dispatch Center, and Building Department. The Safety Department is also responsible for Traffic Signal Management, Traffic Signs, and Animal Control.

The Safety Department manages safety permits, including charitable gaming, block parties, garage sales, parades, itinerant vendors, peddlers and winter parking.

Complaints - Residents who have non-emergency complaints regarding unkept property, parking violations, motorists disregarding traffic laws, missing street signs, malfunctioning traffic or pedestrian signals, or animal control issues should file their complaints through the Report A Concern navigation button. These complaints go to the Safety Department to be addressed.
