Monica Wilson began her service on Parma City Council representing Ward 1 in early 2023. She is a 30+ year resident of Parma, originally from Detroit, Michigan.
Wilson's professional background spans more than three decades in the paints and coating industry, where she worked in senior global management roles. In her roles she led teams, solved complex operational challenges, and drove innovation across international markets.
She earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in chemical engineering, building expertise that informs her work on environmental standards, infrastructure improvements, and long-term planning for Parma's neighborhoods.
Outside of Council, she enjoys volunteering at the Art Museum, mentoring young women in STEM fields, sewing, golfing and other community activities.
