Councilwoman Deborah Lime has been a resident of Ward 2 for more than 50 years. Lime was raised in the Ward 2 neighborhood, where she, her father and her family live today.
Lime attends St. Charles Borromeo Parish. She has been active in civic and social organizations for many years and has also been a soccer and T-ball coach.
This is Lime's second time holding public office. She was Ward 2 councilwoman from December 11, 1991 until December 31, 2003. Lime was unanimously voted to fulfill the Ward 2 council position by the Ward 2 Precinct Committee until December 31, 2011. She filled the vacancy on January 22, 2011.
Lime and her husband, Mark, have four children: Dawn, Aaron, Daniel and Brett. They are the proud grandparents of two grandchildren.
