Fire Prevention

The Fire Prevention Division of the Parma Fire Department provides inspection services to help prevent fires and ensure safety of the people who live, work and visit the City of Parma. The Fire Prevention Office is located at Fire Station #3 and can be reached at 440-885-1217 ext. 104 or Email Fire Inspectors.

Smoke Detector Assistance

Parma Fire Department has a smoke detector assistance program. One combination carbon monoxide/smoke detector per residence will be installed along with one smoke detector and battery for remaining floors. Please contact our Fire Prevention Office with further inquiries at 440-885-1217 ext. 104 or Email Fire Inspectors. 

The following are eligible of free detectors and/or batteries at the discretion of the Parma Fire Department:

• You must own your own residence
• Everyone in the residence must be 65 years old or permanently disabled
• You cannot be a previous recipient of free smoke detectors from the Parma Fire Department
