Lawn Mowing & Snow Removal

Senior Citizen Programs

Lawn Mowing

Lawn mowing for income-eligible seniors begins when school dismisses for the summer in June and lasts for the following 10 weeks. This program is considered supplemental. Call 216-661-7372 to obtain an application.

Snow Removal

Snow removal for income-eligible seniors will begin after the first four inches of snowfall. To help maintain fast service, keep driveways free of vehicles and open driveway fence gates. Please be patient for service because drivers plow more than 400 driveways. For applications for senior citizens or physically disabled residents in need of snow removal, call 216-661-7372.

Street Snow Removal

Snow removal on city streets will be prompt and as efficient as possible. Snowplow drivers plow the main streets first and the neighborhood streets second. Residents should keep vehicles off the street during a snowfall, especially when snow exceeds two inches and the parking ban goes into effect.

If city snowplows damage a resident tree lawn, the resident can call 440-885-8083 to be placed on a repair list. Repairs will begin in early spring or when weather permits.
